After a lifetime of being a city-dweller, I now live in the sleepy village of Smiths Lake on the mid-coast of NSW. My main interests are experimenting with the ideas of expanded drawing and divergent ways of seeing through the mediums of painting, printmaking, pen & ink drawing and sculpture.
My work reflects the coastal landscapes of the lakeshore and seashore - the intersection of land and water. I look for objects-vistas-moments in time that provoke emotional responses, and transform these responses into works on paper and sculpture.
Plein air sketching in charcoal and photographing the places that delight me provide the foundation.
